Measuring Fat Content Content of Your Body

  • Hydrostatic Weighing – the most accurate way to measure body fats. It is often referred to as “under water weighing” inside a hydrostatic tank, if you can find any. This method is based on the principle of Archimedes which states that “the amount of water displaced when an object is partially or totally immersed in water is proportional to the weight of that object.” The amount of body fat is then determined basing on the density of your body. Of course, there are other computations involve in this process. The thing is, it is the most accurate method of fat measurement.

By tracking the loss and gain of the fats in your body, you can immediately determine the course to take to maintain and improve it. So, measuring the body fat could also be one of the most important factors in weight loss.
